Pen Pal Letters: Connecting Orlando & Korea
Updated: 2 days ago

One of the most special parts of our Korean Culture Club is the opportunity to build friendships across cultures. Each month, we exchange letters with pen pals and friends in Korea, giving us a chance to share a little piece of our lives while learning about theirs.
Our letters are about more than practicing Korean. We talk about the things that make everyday life interesting — favorite books, foods we love, family traditions, hobbies, local celebrations, and the little moments that make each place unique. Members can share what life is like here in Orlando while discovering what daily life, school, work, and community look like in Korea.
It’s a fun, relaxed way to practice language while making a genuine cultural connection. Sometimes a simple question about someone's favorite food can lead to a conversation about traditions, memories, or how life is different on the other side of the world.
Whether you're comfortable writing in Korean, just beginning to learn, or simply curious about Korean culture, our pen pal exchange is a welcoming way to learn, share, and make new connections.
You never know where a letter might take you — perhaps you'll discover a new favorite Korean book, learn about a tradition you've never heard of, or make a friend you'll continue writing to for years to come.
Come be part of the conversation between Orlando and Korea — one letter at a time.
